Stress Collages

This is an ongoing project with a selection of collages that have made the cut. Each study serves my larger practice of combining materials.

Such materials include: Times Magazine, old racist western novels, medical textbooks, self help books written by men made for women, gesso, acrylic paint, glue, and sandpaper residue. Each specific collage image is sourced from 1954 to 1993 (my foster mother's birth year to mine).
